Immigration

We are able to provide the following services:

1. Application for further leave to remain in the United Kingdom on the basis of family life.
Cost: Normally £600 (payable in 2 equal instalments).

2. Appeals to the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in relation to a Home Office decision refusing an immigration application that was based on the right to family life.
Cost: Normally £1,000 (payable in 3 equal instalments)

We will:

  • Consider the merits of your application
  • Consider the reasons for the refusal
  • Advise you on the strength or weakness of your case
  • Prepare and file your notice of appeal
  • Receive and consider the Home Office bundle of essential documents
  • Prepare witness statements
  • Prepare the Appellant’s Skeleton Argument (ASA)
  • Deal with any pre-hearing directions from the Tribunal
  • Attend and represent you at the hearing

Applications:

  1. Application for further leave to remain as a partner, parent, or child (Appendix FM): £600
  2. Application for indefinite leave to remain in the UK: £700
  3. Application for naturalization as a British Citizen: £350
  4. Application for registration as a British Citizen: £250
  5. Application for pre-settled/settled status (EU Settlement Scheme): £300 

Appeals:

  1. First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chambers) £1,000
  2. Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chambers) £850

Our fee in relation to dealing with an immigration application will include:

  • Taking instructions
  • Reviewing supporting documents
  • Advising on eligibility criteria as contained in the Immigration Rules
  • Completing the online application or paper application
  • Taking further instructions on additional points
  • Scanning supporting documents and uploading these onto the Home Office system
  • Giving regular update on the progress of the application.

Our fee does not include:

  • Dealing with requests for further information and/or documents by the Home Office
  • Dealing with your request for inquiry about progress of your pending matter

In relation to such additional work an additional fee of not more than £100 will be charged.

We will not apply an hourly rate to any immigration matter.

The firm is not VAT registered.

Disbursement

This will include:

  1. The Home Office Fee: £1,052.20
  2. Immigration Health Surcharge: £1,560
  3. Appointment fee for biometric enrolment: This will vary but usually £112 – £125

Timescales

An immigration matter will normally take 3 – 6 months from the date of submission of the application and enrolment of biometrics. However, in some cases, the Home Office may advise a longer timescale.

Our Team

Our friendly and adaptable team is made up of the principal of our firm, Mr Okey Ngwuocha, and at least one fee earner. Your work will be supervised by Mr Ngwuocha who has practised in the area of Immigration Law since the inception of the firm in 2008. During this period, he has assisted several clients with their immigration applications, and has extensive experience in representing appellants in the First-tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) particularly with regard to appeals that have arisen from Article 8 claims (right to family and private life). He has a Masters degree in law (LLM) from Queen Mary University of London (2004) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of Nigeria (1998).
